Mom and I went shopping for camp! We had a great time. I ended up buying a new swim suit, coverup, capris. I know people thought we were crazy taking pictures in the dressing room but I wanted to see how they looked from a different perspective.
I am so excited about Camp!!!!
Elevation camp will be in Charleston and is a part of Seacoast. It's going to have lots of things to do including horseback riding, a MUD PIT (oooo), a Zip Line, and a whole lot of Worship. This will be my first camp as a Middle Schooler. I have gone to camp for the last 6 years! I thin that this one will be the best! I am soooo EXCITED!
I hope my dog Buster doesn't miss me to much while I am gone. I'll post pictures about him soon. He is so sweet.
A special Thank you to all of my friends who helped me pay for camp. I was able to raise all my money and help some of my friends as well. We are leaving on June 10th Just 6 days after my birthday! I am going to have a great summer. Lot's of fun things planned
Lots of fun with family and friends! We went to our friends birthday Party. It was a Halloween Costume Party. Kyndall dressed in a Flower Power costume and I went as a Hippie ( most people thought I was an Indian). We had a lot of fun. Most of the kids were young but I got to be the group leader for the spooky treasure hunt. I carries the map and read all the clues. It was a lot of fun.
Sometimes Kyndall and I fuss alot! We love each other but we get on our nerves. So we were fussing and Mom put us on the couch and said we couldn't get up until we were laughing. So we tried to laugh and then she got out the camera and taped it. We all ended up laughing a lot. We promised not to fuss so much! Mom says she used to fuss alot with Shelly and Toby. I guess that's what sisters do sometimes. I really love my sister even when she gets on my nerves.
Last Night I got to perform with my friends at the church I went to camp with. I go to Mosaic church but this is covenant bible church. Keith Devine's brother Mike is the pastor of this church. This is the church my Mom amd Dad met at and fell in love. It was a lot of fun! All the teams did a wonderful job! The worship was great and they showed hundreds of pictures from camp for all the parents to see. My mom took some videos. It was a lot of fun to praise God with so many kids and grownups!
I couldn't beleive the view, it made me think I was in an incredible place. This is my fifth year going to camp. This is the first time my friends and I choose Lurecrest. There were so many different kinds of activities to do.
Each day we got up at 7am.
We had to be at breakfest by 8.
By 9:30 we were on our way to some fantastic activites!
Rock Wall: The rock wall was amazing! It was 28 feet tall. I made it about half way. That's great for me becasuse I am afraid of heights.
Leap of Faith: This was very scary. It was a pole that was 40 feet tall with a small platform on top. You had to climb up with only metal bars to use. Then you have to jump off..hooked to a harness. You have to trust your cabin mates to hold you in the air. Of course their was a counserler helping you out. I pushed myself as far as I could. I had lots of encouragement.
Zip Line: I DID IT! This is one cable, one harness, one rope and off you go! It was very high off the ground. I almost didn't do it but I am glad I did! It was so fast and so much fun. I went twice. The first time I screamed the whole time and everyone on Lake Lure could hear me. It made me feel so incredible. Like I could fly! I can't to do it again next year!
Tubeing: This was the first time I went tubeing. Luckily I got to do it with one of my best friends. I learned I have lots of upper body strength! It was so much fun and the lake was beautiful.
Chapel: This is the place with the most beautiful view especially at sunset.
The worship here is awesome. The messages of God's love are incredible.
It was all about keeping your faith to stand firm for what you beleive.
Every night we did a game. The first night was a challenge game. The rest of the time we played The Price Is Right. Nicole and Rebecca and Katlin all played. It was fun watching rebecca scream when she was called to "Come on Down your the next contestant on the price is right"
Drama: We all did parts of skits and we also made a Dramatic Dance to the song "Peace Be Still" It was awesome to be part of so many kids praising and singing to God all at the same time.
I learned that it is sometimes hard to make the right choice but when you do...your faith gets stronger and stronger and stronger. I volunteered to be a prayer leader. I saw a girl crying and a part of me said to go pray with her and a part of me didn't because I didn't know who she was. But I listened to what I felt was right and it was. I prayed with her and she said she felt a lot better than she did. It was amazing to have God use you to touch some bodys life.
I think I came to know God better than I did before.
That's my experience at camp lurecrest. I want to be a counserler when I turm 18. That would be a great way for me to serve God.
My Nana is very special to me! She was the first person I crawled to and walked to. She has been there for me when I was feeling down. I always know that I can count on her. My Nana makes me laugh:)
Nana gives the best Hugs! She still calls me her angel even when I do something wrong. My Nana is the coolest grandmother I have ever met.
I like to visit my Nana and Pappy. I have to make sure I visit often or I would go out of my mind missing them.
My Nana makes me feel confident in myself when I am going through something yucky!
My Nana still plays tickel monster with me. We go out for a girls night together. She takes me to get my nails done...even though I really don't have any nails. We go shopping together. I don't love her because she always does this for me. I love her most because she is sweet, caring and I know she will always be there for me!
Music Camp Rocks! I saw some of the strangest instruments. for example the Didgeridoo. next year I am going to make one. I have learned about the four main groups of instruments.

I play the piano. You might think that it is a string instrument, but it is a precussion. A hammer hits the strings to make the sounds.A harp is also in the percussion family. because you pluck the strings to make the sounds.
The drums are a very important part of the percussion family.
I got to play them! I was so excited.
Let's move on to strings. The four basic string instruments are the violin, viola, cello, double bass. Have you ever seen a sitar? It looks really wacky. Have you ever played Sitar Hero?
The Trumpet is a member of the brass family. and they call it the dominat voice because of the loud sound that it plays. Have you ever played a French Horn, if you have you would know that you have to stick your hand in the bell while you play.
One instrument of the woodwind family belongs to Jazz. It is the Saxaphone
